Sergeant Cecil needed some time to warm up to his task´s and did not win his first race until August 06; but he chose a special occasion to come back to his best: The prestigious LONSDALE Stakes at York´s Ebor Meeting was his target, and The Sergeant raised the roof when, under first-time pilot Frankie Dettori, he gamley held the brave Franklin´s Garden by a long neck, with the pair being 5 length clear of The Whistling Teal.
